Wanted help to over-bore centre of 54mm alloy wheel x 4
THe place is run by a couple of nice old guys. Have had them do a bit of work in the past. They do repairs/modifications but dont do paint/refinishing. I had them quote me to open up the centre bore on some rims I have by a mm. They quoted me $100 for the whole set.
It would be much easier for them to do it with the tyres removed. Most tyre shops would only charge 20 bucks or something (if at all) to pull the tyres off anyways..
You can do them on either. Comparatively, you don't need as big of a mill to do them as a lathe.. So someone with either a CNC mill of capable size or a mill with a boring head that can do up to 57mm (pretty common size) would probably be easier to find.
