coilovers and standard rims

Hey guys, quick question, i know you can use the JOM coilovers without having to change rims or anything but can you use the FK Streetline coilovers without having to change rims or use spacers (something i really dont want to do at this point)
-- rims are montreal's, 16x6.5 (running 205x55x16 tyres)

and another question; has anyone used the JOM lowering springs on a GTI? i can get these pretty darn cheap so i though i might even go with this option if coilovers aren't going to work with my current wheels...

You should be fine using coilovers with stock wheels as the wheels are usually pretty thin (i.e. 6.5) and thus leave a lot of room in the arch for your suspension.

Might want to check the supplier though but i am pretty sure it will be fine.

thanks mate, to those that have coilovers, are they comfortable or am i taking a huge sacrifice in comfort if i upgrade to coilovers (specifically the fk streetlines)?!

Generally speaking, Coilovers will be firmer.. But you get what you pay for. For instance, racelands or hottuning etc coilovers won't ride all that nice. Wietec etc (mid range brands) don't ride too bad. Something like KW, DMS etc will ride pretty damn good. (My opinion, and should not be taken as gospel)

I have KW adjustable suspension in my Caddy and a number of people have commented on how well it rides given the ride height and 17 inch wheels..
