Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

They quoted you a price, they are obligated to back that up.

Go for it if you think they're good.

Shipping them for $40 bucks will be via Afghan camel, will take months to get here..

Fine for street use, and its not like everything else isn't already on the way out on an older car anyway i.e. bushings, wheel bearings etc...

Harsh damper rates will always make an older car suffer though as I've seen recently (not on my car, I'm riding softer struts haha).

Ask a mate to go for a ride in a dub with Hottuning coilovers. These will be the same, so you can have a feel for what they're like! I find them very harsh but I'm a pansy that can't hack Sydney roads

The roads are generally good in the metro area around perth , so im sure they would be ok , can only give it a go !!! and my car isnt moving too far so have plenty of time to wait , will keep everyone informed in how long it takes ect....

They're the same price but not the same productss, JOM's have lower spring rates you'd be surprised at the difference...
