Recently came across them in a quest to find a new pair of shoes for the Jetta, and F*K me I am in LOVE!

Oonly question is, are they worth the money?

            THanks for the help guys!

I think I'll try have these on the Jetta in the upcoming months... just need to find them at the right price.

I had a look at automotive gallery australia, and they quote a set from practically 10gz... a tad too much..

Sorry guys, you can call me a noob when it comes it these things... Tire Rack have quoted me for around US$3g for the wheels incl. GY F1s, would anyone have a clue on shipping rates and how much in total they will set me back?

              Thanks guys for the help!

anthony, wheels and tyres will cost you around US$400 to ship, so your bill would be as follows:

                  US$3000 wheels and tyres
                  US$400 shipping

                  converts to A$3750

                  plus import duty 10%
                  plus GST10%
                  plus customs clearance $80

                  say $4600

$4600...maybe $5000 doesnt sound too bad.

I'll try get a confirmed figure and if its around that mark, hopefully I'll be rolling on these babys in the next month or so!

Thanks for the rough figures gareth!

                            Thoughts?

Just got a quote for Tire Rack...

A set of 19' BBS CH Blacks with Goodyear F1 Assy for around the US$3300 (AU$3600) including shipping. Plus all the usual tax/GST/customs.. I know this is dodgy a question, but is there anyway to reduce or avoid taxes/GST?

Alternatively I've rung up JAX for a quote, and they've quoted me $5200 for the same package.

I love the wheels, and have been heavily considering the thought of going ahead with it, but for around a $1000 for each corner... thats a shtload of cash... and I'm not sure if its worth it....

                            Thoughts?

this advice didnt come from me and you didnt hear it here!!

youre looking at $900 per corner shipped, so you are just under the customs theshold.

split the consignment into 4 individual wheels and tyres and get them sent over a few weeks AND to different names and addresses. (this is because customs have sophisticated tracking systems and realise when people do split consignments)

Of course, you will pay more for shipping overall, so you will need to ask them the cost to do that, then work out how much you might save.

dont forget, as of 1st January, import duty drops from 10% to 5% so that will save you another $200 if you do choose to ship all together
