  • Brake bed in

Whats the bestest way to break in new discs & pads?

I've read conflicting reports on the intertubes of 10 hard stops from 100kph to 10kph then accelerating back up again or just a few hundred km of "moderate" driving. Which one is the true?

    hot pads...

Somewhat will depend on the type of pad your using, std , or something more aggressive ??
    Lots of MK 1 Scirocco's...

If it aint a MK 1 then it must be a donor car ??

    Cheers,

I believe that brakes should be bedded in gently without overheating them.

I totally agree with you. Take it easy for the first 100Km. Especially on a brand new car.

                  Hey Matty.

You should't need to go belting the brakes like crazy to bed them. Just drive them in normally and it should be ok.

Did Joe bed them at all before you took your car back?

Btw, you got those 288mm front hoses yet?

                  Cheers,
