  • new wheels YO! (split rim content)

these have been sitting in my garage for almost a year now, holding them for a friend who doesnt live in victoria, anyways, i always loved them so i put an offer to take them off his hands, he accepted and here you are...

they are Auto strada, modena's made by work wheels, rare as fuk!

    the specs are 17x7.5 and 8 rears ET50 and 52 PCD 5x114.3

plans are to machine the lips (gutter bashed aint the word!)
    repaint the centers silver
drill another set of PCD to 4x100 so all 4 bolt vw and mk5's can use them with wobble bolts

    some pics

    now half split

    how they will look

very nice, seen them on a couple of S13/14/15s on the net. The last pic you posted looks more like Borbets though, they dont have the indented faces like your strada/modenas

well, funny you mention that, autostrada are the OEM wheel for ferrari and lambo, these wheels are based off the F40 wheels

That will go great with your new Mk1 project if you can get them under the guards...

ive hit my first speedbump, the PCD overlaps the new holes ill be drilling, so that means ill have to weldup the holes and redrill a fresh new set, im spewin in a way for the 5x112 blokes who can run wobble bolts, but screw em hahhahaha!

some pics, the hole overlaps like 2mm on 2 holes OR 1/3rd of 1 hole

and ive marked out the the existing holes are and if they are close to the new holes, the black dots show the the PCD overlapping 1 hole, and the silver dots show the 2 overlapping holes

looks like ive got plenty of meat for the other new holes

I had a set of these too, but in 4x100 16x7 ET35 which I sold a while ago, now on a MK2 somewhere! Regret selling them now

Wicked looking wheel and not ones you see very often.

Don't weld them just insert them. You don't want to have to weld them and then stress relieve them. That's just a PITA.
