Miro wheels? importing from US

Miro has some outstanding rims, most interestingly the bbs LM replica wheels. of course they're not available in australia.

has any one had any experience with purchasing wheels from the US. i have a vague memory of things over $1000 incur import taxes or something. is it even a viable option or am i dreaming?

I saw the miro wheels on Ebay and they look pretty mean.

Anything over $1000 will incur import tax and i believe you also have to pay GST on some items.
