  • Stock GTI suspension fitted to a 2.0 FSI? Your thoughts?

Hey all, I've just bought an '06 2.0FSI, as its all that I can realistically afford at this point in time.

I've thought about buying an eibach/koni setup, although that doesn't make much sense as I only plan on keeping the car for about 2 years, before (hopefully) buying a MK6 GTI to replace it, so I don't really want to go and spend 2k on suspension for it.

What do you guys think about sourcing a GTI spring/shock setup from someone on the forum, someone who has upgraded from their stock setup. I know they wont be as good as the eibachs, but they'll be a hell of a lot cheaper, and way better than the comfortline suspension I currently have.

Do you guys think this move is a possible/wise one to make?

    Thanks for your help

you may get a quicker response in the mk5 section. I'd say that question would have been asked before, perhaps give it a search.
