Can you identify these MK1 steel wheels?

  • Can you identify these MK1 steel wheels?

    I'm going to keep these, I'll go into why another time, but I'm curious to know what they are.

    They came on a '79 GLD and are 13" x 5" ET45

    I think that's the original spare on one of the wheels and it's South African. Perhaps that's a clue?

    Any ideas?

    Turns out they're heavy duty South African Golf wheels.

    They're made from thicker steel to withstand badly made roads.

      I have one of them somewhere if you need any more Pete. I thought they were from a passat.
