Painting Monza / Denvers

Hi,

Has anyone on here tried shadow painting the GTI style Monza / Denver wheels?
The 2010 model GTI has a machined face with black shadowing and I was wondering if the black could be applied without having to machine the face.
They look really difficult to mask around the spokes mind.

Without a defined edge it's near impossible to get the same line on each edge of each spoke. You'd have to be a pinstriper with a lot of practice to get it right I imagine...
