if the offset of the wheel is 20, and you add 20mm spacer/adapter the offset becomes 0.

not compatible with the polo last time i checked

if the wheels are ET20, you need at least 25mm adapters to bolt un-modified wheel bolts and studs on, un-modified meaning you buy the bolts and you dont touch them, anything under 25mm may need the bolt heads to be shaved to accomidate the thinner adapter, its alot more complicated than this, but this is just a pointout

ohh and the offset will be annything from ET0 and negative

i'm saying the offset with the adaptors, which you need to fit the wheels on, will push the wheel out past the line of the gaurd. because it has such a low ET. negative infact.

standard gti wheels have ET38-45, to give you and idea, these wheels you want would end up havng an ET-10 [roughly]

spacers are good if you have high ET's to make the wheel sit further out, or you need them so as to push the wheels out to clear large brake calipers.

when you have a lowish offset, ie <et25, depending on the wheel width, it will most probably stick out waaayy to far from the guard.

the adapter has to accommodate the wheel lugs and for structural integrity, they dont really make them less than 15mm thick. if you're using an offset calculator like 1010tires, the addition of an adapter will directly add to the offset - eg, 7 inch wheels with et 20 (20mm + offset), with 20mm adapters will equate to an effective offset of et 0. this means your wheels will stick out 20 extra millimeters.

5x130 are usually porsche wheels which *usually* have a super high offset. you can get away with adapters for these because something like et 50 with a 20mm adapter only equals et30 which is quite fitting for a polo

dunno if you can tell by this drawing i just made, just it gives an example of how the adapters will affect the wheel

the inner left rectangle is the hub on the car, the red rectangle attatched to it is the adapter

the big black square is your wheel before the adapter and the red one is what will happen once you add an adapter
