  • another "will they fit?"

    Guys

A quick Q for you. Will 15x6" et+45 steelies fit my mk1 ok?

Ultimately i would prefer 15" VW steelies (ala Corrado g60) but they're a bit hard to find is Aus, & these other steelies have popped up....

i'm thinking it might require spacers...

    Thanks!

    what suspension are you running???

std mk 3 steelies are 14x6 ET 45, and fit on a standard mk 1. I had these on my first mk 1, with aftermarket springs and shocks, & they cleared fine, albeit very tight up the back end. mk3's wont fit on hottuning coilovers, and probably most other coilovers as well.

They should fit ok. just don't get too big tyres, otherwise you *may* have slight rubbing issues.

Probably wont work with aftermarket susp.

also whats the centre bore of the steelies too?

    i like volkswagens

Actually, that's a good point re the centre bore. I'm not sure what it is, and i should check that eh

Suspension is King springs (low, not super low) and standard shocks at the moment, but will be looking to upgrade the shocks in near future, or maybe just fork out for hottuning coilovers...

Is that cause of the offset being too high, that mk3 steelies won't fit with hottuning coils?

      Cheers!

they should be fine, with standard suspension, coilovers will rub but a spring/shock lower kit will be fine, if there the suzuki swift or holden barina steelies you have to bore the center out to make them fit on the hub

Try a vag dealership for new g60 15" steelies - the black plastic ring, nutcovers and vw centrecap are extra
