  • Could I make these fit on a MKIV?

This website is for sale! rbwheels.com is your first and best source for all of the information you’re looking for. From general topics to more of what you would expect to find here, rbwheels.com has it all. We hope you find what you are searching for!

    Specs are 19x8.5+36 and 19x9.5+38 - and think they're 5x114.3

Any way to make these fit? Would adapters or some sort of hub mods work?

I would want the wheels to tuck in the rear and sit flush with front guards. My car is in the shop getting bags fitted at the moment, so it's important the rear wheels fit under the guards.

    Any suggestions?

Adapters will bring the wheels out ~20mm and with those widths and offsets, it's gonna be tricky! You could get some narrow tyres on for stretch, camber the wheels or pull your fenders out so the wheels will tuck.
    Past: Mk3 Golf 2L 8V, Audi 8L A3T.
    Present: Mk3 Golf variant.

Hmm yeah not real keen on doing any body work. Stretch and camber is a definite goer though. I have the look happening already to an extent with 19x8.5 offset 35 and 215/35s. Have a bit of camber as well thanks to extreme lowering

      What about these? 19x8+42 19x9+38 5x114.3

Could they be redrilled to 5x100? Offset looks about right too. Is it as simple as that??

      There's these as well:

Probably easier to make them fit but I want staggered wheels with dish lol

Just gotta look harder mate, I'm sure there are 5x100 versions of Work Eurolines. Try ebay.de!

As for redrilling, if they're 5x114.3 then I would make a pretty good assumption they're designed to fit over the luxury Toyotas or Nissans (for the VIP look). Their centrebores are usually 66mm+ which may be a bit close for redrilling to 5x100. That said though, you'd need an accurate centrebore measurement for those first before you commit to anything. I'd strongly suggest searching for wheels on ebay.de or other German/Europe-based website as opposed to one that caters more for the Jap car market.

Edit: Could also join up to international forums like edition38 and cleaned.be and see who would ship to Australia. Also try retail shops like dubmeister.co.uk and rimstyle.com

I like the first choice you have for a Mk4, but the second two won't look NEARLY as good methinks

I agree with Ray that you should definitely take your time to look. I was lucky when I jumped into my situation that my wheels fit without TOO many dramas (there were still some...) Good luck with it mate!

have a look on vortex for custom adapters/ 5x114.3 --> 5x100 or machine shops that make custom adapters.. except 20mm should be your minimum width.. other than that, rayray as always f*^%$g owns the wheel whore section
