  • NEED TO KNOW PRICES OF BBS RMS and RS

I need to know what I can expect to pay for a set of BBS rm's or rs's with 1.5 stainless steel dishes (Zero maintenance and curb frendly)
Don't know where I'm going but I do know where I've been

      Alot.

      For genuine wheels that is. $1500 - $2000 AUS I think is the going price. Rarer/more "perfect" sets, might be a little bit more even. I think Matt (with the corrado, got even more for a set he sold, more info Matt?}

imo. If you can arrange to bring out a set or two, do it. I think you'd save a few quid. Depending on how much you'd pay in the UK?

Mint set of standard rms about £600, set of rs's about £800-£900, stainless dishes start at about £130 for a 1.5 wide lip,

16" wheels a lot more, thinking of bringing a few sets over but want to know if it's worth the hassle

Dom {wabit} or rayray will know heaps more about this topic.

but AFAIK there arn't heaps of RM's & RS's in oz. Probably heaps more in the UK. IF you can I'd say bring some over, sell a few sets, I'm sure there'd be a few interested parties over here.

^^^^ Definitely. Everyone loves BBS here (well, almost - I'm personally sick of RS's lol) and if you bring a few sets over I'm sure they'll get snapped up without too much hassle.

              check out www.tirerack.com

they have a large selection of BBS and get a quote including shipping, just make sure you add your own local importing, GST costs as well.

pity the Oz$ is down at the moment, maybe wait 12 months for it to recover a bit!!

We love RS and RM wheels but not many are willing to pay the premium for a mint set... As for stainless steel dishes being curb-friendly - no chance! They'll still scrape, but I suppose they will corrode much slower than aluminium dishes.

Seeing as you're in the UK, you should have access to more info than us! justmatz (google them) will be able to answer all your queries over the phone I reckon. If you were after Australian examples, a second-hand set of RSs in average condition could cost you around the $500 mark. New lips would probably around $200+ each for stainless steel, and then you'll have to factor in extra stuff like labour (if you're not doing it yourself), new bolts, stripping and painting etc. I've never seen a set of RMs here.

I work for just matz at the shows and am looking to ship over complete mk1/mk2's with spares, with some luck, will be over this year for a few months to work out if its worth the hassle with regards to parts

                    Hi Duby how are you?
My RS 003's that were fully refurbed with polished dishes went for $2950 on eBay.com.au
There isn't such a demand for them over here, not many people want to pay for them, its just a different scene over here with VW's. Not so many people are interested in Mk1's and 2's.
Mine sold to a guy who had an E30, and just about every question i had about them was from E30 owners, apart from a couple of offers way off what they go for on here.
As far as price goes then i guess they're worth the same here as they are in the UK or the States, maybe a bit more as if someone wants some they'll more than likely have to get them shipped here which isn't cheap, and with anything worth over $1000 you can get hit with import tax.
