  • 5x100 to 5x112 adapters

I am seriously contemplating acquiring a set of adapters for my Vr6 so I can run a newer Audi and Mercedes wheels so I can get that nice "wide-body" look with some poke if needs be. Is there anyone here who is doing this either on a golf or another model and what are possibly my options in terms of brand, diameter and costs?

    Thanks in advance, Branko.

Try these guys they claim that their product is the $hit. You can specify what you want and get a price on it. They do 2 piece wheel adapters, not sure how they work, but they make them. They also offer lifetime warranty on their product.

Motorsport Tech is your absolute number one source for wheel adapters, wheel spacers, and hub centric rings. We manufacture the finest adapters in the world, and we do wheel polishing, chroming, powder coating, and color matching, as well as sell wheels and tires at WHOLESALE PRICES.

I've heard good things about Motorsport Tech. The 2-piece adapters are for adapting PCDs with different bolt holes, e.g. going from 5x100 to a 4WD 6-bolt pattern. A bit pricey even before the weak dollar.

I went with ADAPTITUSA and they were MUCH cheaper, however they don't do international shipping. The cost was $230USD delivered within continental USA, and I had a mate send them out to me (which cost $~90USD). All up and converted, it cost me a little over $400AUD for them and they came with hub studs and nuts (to attach the adapters onto the hub) and the adapters had pressed studs so I had to use nuts (which I had). Adapters can be made hubcentric too. Overall I thought the quality was great.

With the weak dollar though, try sourcing them locally.

there is a place near me that makes custom spacers for 150ea, custom is much better as they're completely hubcentric to the hub and wheel your using. I can ask if they'd do a stud conversion?

allowing 100 pounds for shipping, you could get a set of fk hubcentric etc 5x100 --> 5x112 adapters at whatever width (above 20mm) for less than 600..

ie. 260 GBP shipped. they're 81 GBP per pair from venom

With the way the Australia dollar is currently, 260GBP is $615AUD using xe.com

I think $150 each isn’t a bad price if they are hub centric etc.
How thin can they make them Alex?

$150/ea for custom adapters can't really be beaten if done locally. With these things, the cost is in the materials I'd think, with the adapters machined/cut to size using a CNC machine, so cheaping out wouldn't be a really sensible option!
