  • whats this wheel off?

    its a VW wheel but what model is it off?



    i have 3 and want to track down one more in the future so knowing what its off would be handy.

        ^do they fit up OK on the mk1? i havent had a chance to see how they sit.

          yeh they will fit up ok, someone on here has those wheels on a mk1 ive seen em before. they are a bit harder to find but still fairly common and do pop up on ebay as well. an alternative are mk3 steel wheels which look good

            I believe Pete Jones has a set on his race mk 1. With wideish race rubber.

            Fitment should be fine.

              I have 4 on my Mk3 Classic.... They're a bit boring in comparison to the GTI's lol.

                  They're a generic Australian dealer fitted wheel. Not OEM VW wheels.

                  Auscar or something locally made there's a couple of variants depending on what the dealers were buying at the time.

                  Make sure you use hub cenntric spacers, these wheels should have them but they've often been lost.

                  A lot of MK3s were fitted with these, they work fine on a MK1 so long as you get the (tapered) wheel bolts to go with them.
