Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

    Polo gti rear springs on a polo tdi (6r)

    Seems to be So much info on here that I'm finding it hard to find a straight answer.
    Looking to lower the rear of my 2011 polo tdi and figured the cheapest and easiest way would be picking up a cheap set of oem gti rear springs. Will this be okay and fit without any problems? My polo has 90k on it.

    yep both are the same rear beam as far as I can tell. In the 9N models the GTi springs were 15mm lower than stock so that'll be a good drop. The only issue would be if the GTI damper has a shorter stroke to account for the shorter spring but I doubt youd run into dramas.

      Yup I figured 15mm will bring it done enough. Will call around for some gti springs. Cheers mate
