  • Poor reception in Golf

I think it may possibly be my aerial but the radio reception in my TSI is really bad. I have checked the antenna connection into the deck and it is in properly, I taped it in also just in case it moves or something when I am driving.

Does anybody else have the same issue?

I am thinking of trying a different aerial out just to see if it makes a difference.

    Cheers

Unscrew the antenna and see if it gets better. If found my reception got better once I cut it to be a stubby.

not sure if the MK4's have the same setup, but the reception in my golf can be pretty average sometimes

        get the odd interference 'crackle'

have tried another screw out bit from a friends barina (looks like the same part) and that didint help, so ive learnt to live with it

Seriously though, my reception is pretty bad with a stubby antenna too and I'm in suburban perth. Meh. Radio stucks, cd's FTW!
