Installation of a Mk7 Multi-Function steering wheel + paddles into a Mk6

Any updates on this. I'm seeing that really you just need to change the buttons to match the vehicle you are fitting into. So my Tiguan I think will need the R line buttons from another Tiguan wheel.
I believe the buttons will have a chip in them that will make the wheel work or not.
