  • 2015 6R Polo - MirrorLink/Android Support?

    Hey guys,

Had a quick search through the forums and couldn't find anything on this.

Do we know if the Headunit fitted to the 2015 Polo Comfortline supports MirrorLink or other programs allowing me to run maps off my Android smartphone? I'd like to get more use from my headunit rather than just Bluetooth audio streaming.

According to the Manual, its listed as a Composition Colour headunit..which is great, but there's no blimmin' model number on there. Driving me up the wall, I tells ya....

To answer my own question, theres no chance. The USB port only supports charging, which is incredibly annoying as the option is in the interface to use USB as a selectable media option.

Negative - the USB port *can* be used as a multimedia port - works with my Samsung Galaxy S4. It does not, however, provide enough power to effectively charge anything. It only outputs about 450mA which is standard for USB storage (where as most chargers will be 1000mA or higher).

To answer the original question, no the unit doesn't support MirrorLink which is a blow considering the lack of Nav option
