Rcd510 bluetooth

Sorry for such a common question but I am after specific info that I am un able to find.. I have a rcd510 stereo in a mkv golf with a half height red mfd.

I want to be able to :

-receive and make calls, don't care about caller ID

-stream music via Bluetooth.


What module do I need to this? Will the 9w2 do? What is involved with installation? Plug and play?

a 9w2 will answer calls only via steering wheel....dial out via phone...9w7 will dial out and answer via the rcd510 and also display phone book and stream music.....

You can fit if handy in about 1hr and code with VCDS

Fantastic info! So the only one that streams music is the 9w7? I'm fine with the steering wheel controls.

Actually 9w2 will also stream music but no display/controls etc. Just remember the 9w2 kit is a answer only kit.

Make sure it is a Bosch 5k0 035 190A or 190B unit older pre 2011 5k0 035 190 units are not compatible with the latest 9w7 BT units the phone book numbers are garbled and do not support track labels when BT audio streaming
