wow they are seriously trying to ripp you off. cheapest i could find quickly was around $300 at Killswitch audio

it shouldnt cost 1k for a BT module, that is a rip off, wait for the new 350BT, it will be released this year sometime and it solves a lot of issues the last 2 BT modules have had. we should know as soon as our alpine rep knows.

He kind of is, but the stereo i don't think was ever part of the sale of the car.
Hence i want the BT unit, then can merely transfer to another car at any stage.
