Hi everyone,
Now that I've had some time to think (a holiday is always good for that), I have turned my attention to some slightly strange behaviour on my steering wheel controls.
I have a 2008 Golf with steering wheel controls and with the help of another forum member, I upgraded the head unit to a Pioneer AVH-X8550BT. I bought the Connects2 steering wheel control module too. The controls all work perfectly except for the phone button.
The phone button won't initiate a call (or Siri as the button on the head unit does) but it will hang up a call that is in progress. Is this just something I will have to live with or can I do something to make it work for call initiation? The car never had a factory BT module installed (one of the reasons I went for the Pioneer as the BT is built-in) so it is a case of coding the VAGCOM to believe there is a module installed?
It's not the end of the world if it can't be resolved as I am used to pushing the button on the head unit now but it would be nice to have the whole lot on the steering wheel!
