I have a base 90TSI with the standard head unit (the one without navigation). Wondering if anyone knows why the playlist is unsupported from Android devices over bluetooth. Obviously works from a microSD card...

Not sure what Android device you have, but on my S3, I setup the Music app with a playlist of songs I want, and when it connects to the Bluetooth, it plays whatever I've setup.
If you're talking about switching between playlists then you'll just need to use the music app to switch between them I guess.

Yep, that's what I have to do as well. I was hoping the playlist would just list all my tracks (in alphabetic order) like it does when playing from sdcard or usb. Or maybe just the tracks from the current playlist from the streaming device.
I have tried on my galaxy s2 running android 4.1.2 (with a updated bluetooth stack) and a stock 2013 nexus 7 running android 4.4

I do not think the bluetooth is that sophisticated to be able to load the playlist info and so you can select the song on the head unit itself..but I could be wrong... so far as far as I know bluetooth will only support display of the current playing song pause next back...GTI carbon steel g, leather, mdi, A.C.C., park parallel assist & RVC, dynaudio, sunroof, R-tails, RNS510, 9WZ, LED reg
