What media unit have I got here please?

    What media unit have I got here please?

    I just bought a 2009 (MY10) R36 wagon. I, perhaps wrongly, assumed it had a factory fitted media unit. Now I am not so sure. It does not match the RCD-510 manual in the service booklet and the appearance of the menus is very different from the pictures in the manual and those I see of RNS 510 units.

    Can anyone please tell me what I have from these pictures please. And very importantly, where to get a manual to operate it!!

    It looks like an Ebay Chinese knockoff of an RNS510 Has navigation. If you hold the setup or the info button in for about 20 secs maybe it will reveal its origin

      Pretty sure that's a Waywell 6050 Head Unit? They should be able to email you a user manual.

          No sorry, I don't. The 6050 would be discontinued now but they should be able to email you a pdf manual.

              can anyone point me to where I can buy the special Ipod/Iphone cable that fits the seemingly unique mini usb type plug on the front of the WD6050?

                Logically, an Email to Waywell would seem the best avenue for success You can buy converter cables from one USB type to most of the others.
                EG I have a Mini to Micro and a Sony to USB A female. Looking at the models on their website they have MINI USB sockets in them
