  • Bora head unit

    Hi all

I'm thinking of changing my factory head unit of my 01 4motion bora to after market head unit, if I do will I come across some error massage of some sort, do I have to hook it to vag after, or is this just a straight forward change as long it's connected properly.

go to autobarn, they have a decent collection of harnesses, otherwise ebay will come up with a few if you can wait.

Yeah, its pretty easy. I had no dramas with my 2003 bora replaced with Kenwood KDC-U7056BT for $200 shipped on ebay. Can highly recommend this model, but any sony/pioneer/alpine/JVC and you're going to step up in sound quality a bit, but after doing so I realise how underwhelming the current speakers are, just worth keeping in mind before going all out on headunit alone.

You will need (if you want to make life as easy as possible) a brandname-to-iso adapter (e.g.), and a antenna amplifier cable that looks like this.
