  • Bluetooth Connectivectivity with iPhone 5

    Hi All,

I have a Mark VI 6 Golf (MY2012) with the standard radio - I am having no luck pairing it with my IPhone 5. It cannot seem to find my phone.

Is anyone else experiencing similar issues and how did they solve their issue?

    Thanks for your help

You need the bt menu to be open on the iPhone for it be discoverable or else it wont show up.

not sure the standard bt system will connect with the iphone. Our samsung connects fine in our GTI but an iphone wont connect.

Is your "standard radio" the RCD 310? Do you know what BT unit you have fitted?

Mrs BS has a Golf VI with RCD 310, 9w7 BT unit, and it pairs no probs with her iPhone 4S and my iPhone 5.

I'm nowhere near her car right now, but I seem to recall that you go to the Phone menu on the MFD, and you should see something there (Phone Search?) that will allow you to search for your phone and pair it.

EDIT: You need to start the car to make the VW BT discoverable.
