RNS 510 - Map version HDD 7679

My RNS 510 came with my car that I purchased this year (2013) in April.
I want to upgrade the map as it does not show some roads that I travel on every day that have been there for 2 years.
I checked my map version HDD 7679.
The latest map version to download is V6.
How does my version 7679 correlate to V6?
Is my version of map 7679 = V6?

I looked for this information but I can not find it.

So If you can help on this please, and thank you.

The latest version that I'm aware of is 7920 - V6.

Approximately how often do VW update their maps?... Have V6 here but NSW is now in the process of changing their route numbering scheme...

Still don't know how the old state route 54 corresponds to the A34...

Wonder if these updates will make it to the V7...

Whereis is done, Google maps is slowly changing and Apple maps haven't even budged yet..

Well they did one in mar 2010 that had first quarter 2009 maps on it then the last one which had 2011????? maps, Who knows when and what the next one will be.

Would be nice if it had proper text to speech as well instead of the crap way its done now.

Also if you car was exactly where it should be on the map instead of 25 metres behind where the map thinks it is

My unit now shows version HDD 7920.
So therefore 7920 = V6.

I read reply 2, but not a definitive that 7920=V6.

I can confirm it now.

But if there is a later version than 7920 is not clear?? Who knows??

The latest firmware is the 5000 series for the rns510 but it needs to be rev B or newer. I have been running it for some months with no issue. I also set the DVD to region 0 for the OS DVDs I buy for the kids. I have a special cable and software to change region, pin codes, extract music from the hdd and a variety of other services.

Doubtless it will have different sized partitions to allow for the much larger European maps and wont have the 90-5-5 that the Aussie version has.

Not at the moment for Australian versions

V6 (7920) is the latest map version. It looked pretty clear to me

Be assured there is NOT ANY LATER AUSTRALIAN VERSION than the above at this time.

If there was it would be posted on here in the appropriate forum Usually the latest map gets uploaded about a week after it comes out and a member manages to get their hands on an original DVD.

If you read the threads on Maps and Firmware there is a custom list of POI that you can load into the unit

As far as I can remember it includes Speed Money raisers
