  • iPod/auxiliary input solution for MKV Golf.

    Hey guys,

Does anyone know a way of retrofitting an auxiliary input in a MKV Golf? A friend of mine recently purchased a Volkswagen MKV R32 which didn't come with the factory iPod adapter in the glove box compartment or auxiliary input in the front centre armrest to stream music from the iPod/media devices to the head unit.

Not really interested in buying a new head unit yet and wants to stick with the current RCD500. What do you suggest?

Note: I'm not too sure whether his unit has the MP3 compatibility.

    Thanks in advance.

He doesn't have the port or the iPod adapter, not all MKV's have it. Apparently he found a place for it to be mounted in the glove box but there is no wires.

All he wants is just a 3.5mm aux cable so he can play from any device in the car.

i meant the adapter is an actual ipod kit, not just a cable.
