'Voice control' button on current model 132TSi Tig - just mute?

Hi all,

I picked up my my shiny new 132TSi pacific a couple of weeks ago - it's bog standard, so has the RCD310, but I *think* the 9W7 Bluetooth module since it identifies itself as "VW PHONE".

The "voice control" button on the multifunction steering wheel only mutes, rather than beeps and allow me to issue it commands that it will never understand... regardless...I'd still like to have that feature if I can - I'm up for the challenge.

Is that normal behaviour or can it be programmed to do voice control with this hardware setup? I've read a bunch of posts about the various Bluetooth modules and options, but I'm confused.

Anyone have a yes or no answer for me on this?

its normal just to mute.. voice control is on the higher end spec units.. and like you say there are not the best at understanding anyway unless you speek the queens english!

Can be done via VCDS coding within the steering wheel module.

But experience has only been with 9w7 with a RNS510.
