are you needing help with wiring or schematics?

well my head unit was working flawlessly till i removed it. (literally unplugged it at the back along with RCA plugs)

      then re-installed, and nothing..

all wires are getting there respective power requests..

i have constant, accessory and earth..

im kind of confused as i haven't done anything to the head unit for it to **** itself..

was wondering if anyone local knows a fair bit about it and could just have a look over it or tell me if my head unit is shot.

apparently the head unit is pretty much brand new also :/

Mate I reckon if you have all the permanent live, Switched live and earth all showing as wprking upto the point of reaching the head unit, then it must be head unit related.

Some head units have a fuse either located on the back of the head unit or inside the unit.

Just check the back of the unit for a fuse, then take the cover off and just have a look inisde to see if you can see a fuse.

Thats where I would look first, but critical you have those feeds upto the head unit working first !!

Try that , let me know how you go,!

I work in West End if push comes to shove !

The rear fuse is ok. Everything points to the HU being a goner. Unless there's a problem with the connector, where the pins in the HU don't mate with the sockets in the plug.

OK, does the connector plug straight into the head unit or does the head unit side of the connector have a length of cable on it?

If it has cable on it, then cut the wires(Live, earth, switched ) from either side of the connector and manually crimp together to see if it powers up, this will determine if it ithe connector.

it plugs straight into the back of the head unit..

going to test a different head unit shortly.

                  will report back with results
