  • VW lookalike stereo in MkV TDI

    Hey guys,

So I am currently using the standard RCD300 mp3 unit with an FM transmitter but i've wanted to update to an RNS510 for a while now... just the price is stopping me!!

Would this "compatible" unit be as good as anything else? Like will it intergrate into the computer completely? I've seen pictures of the RNS510 having navigation directions on the highline? screen which I have.. and can I still control the music from the steering wheel controls in Audio mode? If not, which unit can you recommend? I don't want to spend $3000 + installation on a stereo another place in Adelaide have one for $1800 installed which is apparently another compatible RNS model.. but if this one would do the job then yeah i'd be happy!

    Cheers

Should be able to get an RNS bought and fitted for around $1500. Audiupgrades sell them for $1300 and Transporter is an amazing VW expert in your area.

The RCD510 is also really good if you don't want Sat Nav or DVD
