A friend asked me about this and I don't have a clue. If someone has a 9W7 unit which downloads the address book for use in the RNS510 and MFD and then looses the phone numbers on their phone - is there any way they can view the numbers stored in the car, or hack into it with VCDS, before they give up and delete the old phone profile?

I have the 9w7 and rns510, but once the phone is disconnected, then the phone book cannot be accessed via the head unit/mfd. I guess this makes sense from a security point of view, ie you wouldn't really want the mechs looking through your contacts when the car is left or a service.
Can he not just reconnect his phone using the old profile and then check through the phone book on his car to get the numbers?
Maybe there is someway via VCDS.2010 Candy White Golf GTI 5Dr. Manual, RNS-510, Bluetooth, Tints, GT-CX 18 Gloss Black Rims.

If he connects the phone using the same profile, it will say 'New address book downloaded' and they'd be all gone from the car as well... I think
