  • Burning map cd

Dumb question, but i cannot find the answer anywhere and i am a little confused... When i downloaded the maps v5 it says it is an iso file. However, windows says it is a zip file and i did unzip the contents to a target folder.

On the one hand i am thinking to burn the unzipped contents, but on the other hand i recall that iso files are just ROM binaries and i should just burn the iso file.

So which is it? Burn the unzipped iso folder and subfolders or the seemingly zipped up iso file?

    Thanks

If you're running Windows 7, right-click the ISO file, select Open With - Windows Disc Image Burner and go from there.

If not you'll need to run a program such as Nero, Roxio, or CDBurnerXP Free and then choose their equivalent of File - Open - [your ISO file] - Burn.

For bootable discs you need to burn straight from the ISO, for normal data discs you can extract and burn the contents.
