  • Dynaudio Amp

    Hi all,

Recently installed a dynaudio amp 3C8035456C from a Passat CC into my R36. Amp was a simple plug and play and the difference in sound quality is quite decent.

My question however is that now when I do a VCDS scan it comes up with the below error. I assume this is because of an incompatibility with the CC amp.

Only VCDS change I have done is enabling dynaudio. All this has done is bring up the logo on startup.

Any suggestions on getting rid of the error code as apart from this it works well.

If it all works, why worry? I have a similar issue with the Skoda BT in the Jetta. Everything works as it should, but get a couple of errors thown when it scans. To me it's not an issue.

As long as it doesn't cause any other issues, just though it might be a coding problem.

It might be freaking out that it isn't seeing passat hardware. Also have you changed your radio coding to Dynaudio (CAN)?

Wasn't there a way to change the output of the RCD/RNS from speaker output to line output? Would you need to change that when using the Dynaudio amp?

I haven't personally had a chance the fiddle with the VW sound systems, but I know there's two different Dynaudios one with BAP/CAN and one without. Have you tried both (In radio settings)?

Sure have, the BAP does not work (no sound), so have it on dynaudio

                    Update,

had to swap back the original amp as with the CC dynaudio amp the sound would keep cutting out. A reboot would occasionally bring it back but the next time I start up the car the sound would be gone again.

Before I get rid of the amp, can anyone suggest any coding changes that may fix my problem otherwise I'll have to try and find the equivalent Passat amp.

Sorry to dig up an old post, but did you end up getting this to work?

I'm trying to figure out whats involved in retrofitting a Dynaudio amp to an R36 (with same factory amp: 3C0035456K).
