Email Notifications Failing (mostly Telstra)
Hello everyone. Seems there is an issue with Telstra (possible others) blocking email from our server. If you are trying to sign up I would suggest a different email if possible. If you're trying to reset your password and it fails please use the Contact Us page:
I've already ticked the box in VCDS to turn on mirrow lowering, does nothing - don't have the right hardware
How about putting the mirror switch to the right instead of left (and setting it accordingly for reverse), maybe one other option needs to be set to tell the car it is RHD (this putting switch to right will prove it might be this issue)?
good news. did some diagnostics for them and they support the skoda MFSW with the roll wheels. awesome bit of kit!
Cool. I saw there was a recent firmare update that came out for the roll wheels. These guys are pretty responsive to fixing any issues which is great.
I know the white MFD is a new development for them (Red MFD is pretty stable/mature product). Probably is going to be worth keeping the USB interface easily accessible so you can download firmware updates when they come through.
hmm, better make sure I get a nice long USB cable then. Shame Aaron didn't have a pic showing the access hole that goes from the CAN bus cubby box to the storage compartment through the firewall. Still not looking forward to installing it

I completely agree, I don't know about the golf, but we have a hidey-hole below the headlight switch. might chuck the USB cable end in there. or hide it in the fuse box.
yup they got onto my issue straight away! great product IMO
that said, I cant get boost working properly. but ill check the forum first before I bug them with questions
I can perform the settings within the FIS+ but no mirror drop. I didn't have time to play around as I had the mrs in the car and she was wondering WTF I was doing and why we weren't driving yet lol
OK here's a short video off my phone showing set-up of mirror dipping feature on AutoPolar FIS+ Advanced.
The key thing is to select either manual or auto BEFORE setting the "driving" and "parking" mirror position for the passenger mirror. If the mirror dipping is set "OFF" then selecting the positions has no effect (and these setting will not be remembered). First select "manual" or "auto" and second step is to set the "driving" and "parking" positions.
"Manual" is probably the better setting as it will work when the mirror selector switch is on R (this is a LHD thing) and reverse gear is selected.
"Automatic" will happen independent of setting of mirror selector switch, but requires you to be in reverse gear AND have your indicators on.
I got this working for the left mirror, but found I had to swap to select right mirror on the selector knob to get dipping on the left mirror after restarting the car. I think this is a special RHD "feature" that may get fixed in a future firmware release.
There's also a function you can enable in FIS+ to move both mirrors working at the same time - though this is only via the mirror selector/position switch. It can be enabled via Alt. mode menu function. Then if you select right mirror both will move, but if you select the left mirror then only left moves.
It's not possible to get mirror dipping working on both mirrors at the same time. It is suspected that the passenger mirror is the only one connected up to the ECU and that drivers mirror just has a hard wired connection to the mirror selector/position switch (hence ECU is not able to control this mirror).

Don't you have that feature in your normal MFD Convenience Settings?
Just to clarify, I think you mean moving both mirrors inwards or outwards simultaneously (pressing left or right on switch)?
Don't think it moves both mirrors up or down. But haven't needed to or tried it!
Depending on how stealer setup your car, might not be there to begin with.
But definitely isn't new and is existing functionality that can be enabled via VCDS.
