  • A late realisation

Bluetooth streaming + Iphone + Internet Radio.

Cant believe I didn't realise this before and had to suffer with the boring Australian Radio.

Was listening to an 80's Internet radio station on the way to work this morning. 50 min trip, no ads, no hiccups (Telstra NextG) and only 16mb used.
Some say he was the Stig... all we know is that he drives a VW Transporter.

That's odd... So a mp3 with average quality is 1mb per min, yet digital radio is 1/4 of this and sounds good?

iirc the stream was 128k, I didn't have the volume super loud since I had a passenger making a few phone calls but no complaints from either of us (chose the 80's music for him). Have listened to other radio stations via the phone from the UK and quality has also been very good (at least on stock speakers). Occasionally you'll choose a station with a rubbish bitrate.
