Wow. Lodged a transaction dispute with ANZ disputing the VISA charge (paid the PayPal with it) and they've reversed it! Woo hoo. I provided good evidence of what happened. Almost makes you think banks have some humans after all.

You were lucky as the terms and conditions at Ebay & Paypal forbid you from doing a CC chargeback.

I did a few years ago after a seller supposedly posted an item from the USA by surface mail.

As the time had expired I did the CC thing and got my account banned.

After posting about this on the community forums I got mails from other buyers who confirmed that this
seller was good at not sending low cost items.

After some correspondence with Ebay and including emails as support I was reinstated.


A CC chargeback can be done up to 60 days after you receive the monthly statement with the transaction on it.
