I would not be too bothered about the sub out, it may be for DVD .1 channel.

Does not look like there is delay, XO,etc. you might want to try to play with the EQ to reduce low freq out of the speakers, then bring the sub amp up to fill this range. Try the sub facing back, fwd, up...

Thx fellas, will def move it around to see how it affects it, might also wire it up to a male / female power adapter to make it removable to, love this forum for ideas haha

On another note, do you recon using a standard 10amp wall plug to make the sub removable would affect the sound quality?

Since it only carries power, ground and the switch on trigger, it doesn't affect things at all. You're welcome to have a listen sometime since we're both in melb.

As for the bass overlap, you could put capacitors inline with the speaker leads to filter off the bass from them - I found that 300uF electrolytics rolled off the bass around 120Hz in an older car (where I first used the sub with an amp that had a fixed low pass crossover - I tried 400uF but the overlap was too much and made for a boomy sound but it could work well for you)

Works well for HT and possibly for bigger cars but a Polo's boot doesn't give much scope for this sort of tuning (believe me, I've tried)

Cheers kaanage, that makes sense, might drop by middys and pick up a couple of plugs..

I'll check out some of the caps, have noticed its settled a fair bit since dropping the crossover frequency on the amp, still pretty impressed with the overall sound, yet have noticed since installing the sub I can no longer hear the engine lol

Will post up a couple of pics when im done messing with it all
