Speakers poping when car started

    Speakers poping when car started

    i just recently changed over the HU in my MK4 Gti to an Alpine unit, however have now noticed that the speakers pop when the car is started from the accessories position ie. Radio is on already, and then pops when engine is started

    this popping does not happen however when the car is started from the off position

    any suggestions on what this could be?

    do you have an amp? or are you just running the head deck?

      just the standard speakers running off the Headunit...............for now....

        i know amps often power up violently and couse a pop, but i havn't heard of it in head decks, i'll have to do some poking around.
