Clearly there is something wrong with the M140 update, unless I am missing something! In the end I just updated from the second step (I was still on M94) and it worked OK from there.

Hi everyone,
I have an ans 510 fitted to my mk5 golf gt running firmware V96 and was wondering what is the latest firmware available. There is a lot of posts about the latest M firmware but none about the latest V firmware. Does anyone know what is the latest V firmware?

Rivol et all,
Ive found an older firmware on my laptop but have no idea what version it is.. Im assuming its the M99 that I didnt upgrade to!! but have no way of knowing, the date of creation was may 2013??
Also when I extract it it seems to have more files than the current firmware, 16 files vs 12 files for the new one..
I have attached a pic of the older firmware I found.. any ideas if I should do this first then move on to the M140?
My main question is what should I do first and what are these additional files (966R.mhs/Program 966XF.mhs/Program)

Yes that should be the M 99, I have the same here:
It has more files in than the M140 (probably the MPEG) and what so ever, that's why I told you maybe it's better to go with M99 first.
Perhaps you could add the missing files from 99 to 140 and give it a try or go the safe way, first M99 and then the M140. The installation of the M140 takes you to the second part (GPS slot) which means there is nothing to update in the first part.

Hey Rivol,
Once again thanks fella, I was hoping that was the M99 and that you would know what those files were.
I think ill follow your advice and go the safe route.. M99 first Then M140, gotta be the safest way to do it, i certainly dont want to start swapping files between firmware version..
Much appreciated you getting back to me yet again.. If i could buy you a pint I certainly would!!

Hi Rivol,
Finally bit the bullet and updated the firmware, to M99 first then to M140... all seems to be working again without issue, only thing is that for some reason when I try and change the volume for reversing camera (which isnt fitted) it just reverts back to mute!! doesnt seem to stay on a volume level I set... has anyone else had any luck with setting this and it working? or do I need to use the other MCU file do you think?
Thanks for helping me get to this stage though...

Well ive now flashed it with both files and its made no difference at all.. so figure this is another ANS quirk.. also strange that they can give us the car info section and have things like the speed work, and temp, boot open etc, but cant get RPM to display and fuel and voltage etc bearing in mind they are all canbus too!! madness if you ask me... Wonder if they will sort this out soon?? either way it seems a little quicker to read stuff now and a bit more responsive so all good

Still havent found an option for the camera to disable it, however whilst playing I have founf various other like camera type (1-4) and also found a few options on the ops screen itself, however these do not do anything so assume this is another feature audiosources are trying to sort out..
but the biggest thing by far is the OBD display.. come on lets have it fully featured and turned on please!!! audiosources, you listening??? allow the stereo to talk to an ELM327 bluetooth dongle and we are all good!!!
here is the buttons on OPS screen for someone to tell me what they do?
also like the vehicle info, but some of us need MPH not KPH and for it all to work please?
