The Random track (could be also Repeat... didn't check) function (usb/sd) does not 'stick' when the unit restarts. It always goes back to normal play. This, to me, is almost a deal breaker. If it's fixed with the new FW, I'll update asap. If not, I'm going to put my RCD-510 back in until it is.
It is not fixed in the new firmware but I am pushing - there are a few technical programming niggles to sort out. In the mean time if this is a big issue for you it may be an alternative for you to use BT stream on your phone.

    Thanks a lot !
I'm happy to help if you have any issues with your unit but if you just want to keep up to date with latest firmware and news + support, I provide this for a one off subscription fee of $25 AUD.

I go into settings, general and can see the primo sitting there. I have tried pushing the "Tick button" on every screen inside those folders but nothing works.....

    Any help???
    Thanks!
The procedure should be identical to when you first set up the unit - can you describe in a bit more detail? If you choose select GPS file path, you should see a folder "Primo2", choose that folder, then swipe up (this is laggy I know) to scroll down the list until you see Primo.exe.

    • Is there any way I could fine tune the radio, I kept getting this crackling sound every 2-3 seconds. Getting kind of annoying..

whiskywallah used a diversity antenna that seemed to work well for him, he linked it some pages back, or maybe you can try PMing him.

If I may also add, the antenna adaptors with dwo separate leads will not be able to be used with the plug that has double connectors on the car's wiring harness. Basically, when you place the two separate plugs side by side, their spacing is too great, and only one plug can have a locking peg.

If your wiring harness has two sockets in a single unit, you will need something like the this one

Audi VW Volkswagen Radio Dual Fakra Diversity Antenna Adapter [CT27AA56] - $19.95 : SimpleSoft,, Simple Solutions That Work!

If you pick on the image you will get a full screen one and you can see how close they need to get and only one has a locking peg.

The most frustrating thing (apart from the reception) is waiting for it to get here. I ordered mine on Oct 1, and it is supposed to have left the LA facility on Oct 3. I suppose they have to build and certify the aircraft :-^) and then there is Australia Post.

That depends on how hard you hit the connectors with a big hammer

I was reluctant to use the "Irish Screwdriver" as when I was trying to get them both in, I could see the socket distorting quite a bit, and the last thing I wanted was to break it.

                    BT20120512 is interchangeable with 20120405.

Also in response to someone's query about seat warmer display not showing a couple of pages back (posts here moving pretty fast these days), my technician says that they've confirmed seat warmer display to work on a Passat CC. The display probably just looks a bit different to the stock RNS-510 one? I cannot confirm myself since there is no A/C display for a mk5 Golf.

                      • ^^ I just asked this a couple posts ago. DkN says soon!

My unit keeps hanging on random .mp3 tracks on my SD card. It'll get frozen for 20-30 seconds and then flip back like nothing happened. Seconds on the track stop counting, buttons don't work, weird. I hope the latest firmware helps me! My "new" 4GB SD is in the mailbox today, lol. never thought I'd have to downgrade to upgrade, haha

                        • Thank you for the firmware update - Have solved some of the SW errors

The ANS810B works fine with Skoda logo and green lighting in the display.
ANS 810B will not change to green "keys"!
I have followed the instructions from this thread without success - what can I have done wrong?
Picture of the model I have[URL="http://www.audiosources.net/productshow.asp?bid=28&tid=62&sid=62&id=65"]

I still think that there are some buck with the FM radio when the RDS is turned on.
Examples of strange behavior - when RDS is turned on.
                          - FM1 no.1 frequency is 87.50 MHz without RDS - I turn on RDS now is the frequency 113.50 MHz no signal. the same for the no.2. Remaining 3 to 6 are ok.
                          - Some time when RDS is on and I press no2. and it switch No. 2 and it is also that channel that it switch to fur after a few sec. the display indicate that it is playing on no. one. but i playing on no. 2. the same will happen if i press on no.5. if I turn of RDS no problem.
                          - Frequently change between different transmitters - completely unnecessary since the signal is ok. Typically it will change for every 2 to 5 minutes.
I have this on video - maybe Audiosources would be interested in these video?

And some time it get frozen on OPS, when i start ny car, and nothing works - I have to turn of the engine to make it work again!
I don't have OPS in my car yet - hop to have it one day.

                          • Thanks for the help guys, I got into the SATNAV again just fine. Phew! Now my issue is....nothing has changed since before the update, but my satnav can not detect any satellites. I have not changed anything with the radio, not taken it out, moved the antenna, nothing....It worked fine before the update. I drove it for about 20minutes this morning, and it did not find any. Then another 10 minutes about 2 hours later....Still nothing! Any help besides removing the head unit and playing with the antenna? Which does not seem logical as it was working before where it is now!

                            • For changing button lighting to green, are you sure you changed key colour in setup->display to green before doing the hidden menu? Hit green even if it is already selected. Repeat the process after doing that first.

Send me a link to your video and I'll take a look. I don't use radio much at all but I haven't come across strange RDS issues.

If the unit does freeze you can just manually power off by holding down the power / mute button.

Regarding navigation, if you ever run into GPS signal issues, deleting the folder in the Primo2 directory named "save" will fix it. This is like resetting the software though and you will lose your settings and custom POIs. Before you do that there is another file you can try editing, I don't remember the exact directory it's under though, will post it up when I get home tonight.
