Finally installed my ANS-810, quite happy with the unit. I do however have a question, is there a way for the seat warmer icon to be displayed on the unit like my OEM RCD510.

By the way, what is AS TP, etc mean? This appears just above the AM and FM buttons when you press the Band "button".

TA is traffic announcement. A station is meant to set this flag when it puts out traffic info and irrespective of which station you are tuned to, your radio is meant to retune for the duration of that announcement.
TP is traffic programme and if set your radio will prefer to tune to specific stations which give out traffic info.
Good explanation here
As I say, in Australia the only consistently working bit of RDS is text feedback for station name and one line of text of station info/advertising. The ANS grabs the station name and puts it on the preset button but not on main area of screen which is a pity.Tiguan MY12 118TSI, white, no frills..... Had ANS810 ... Note the HAD ..... If you would like to keep up to date with all future updates and associated support I also offer a subscription service for $25.
Yes I have checked the cables twice. As I mentioned the CAN works. ie All the steering wheel controls work. the Door indication works, the optical parking system works as well as the climate control etc.
The connector as shown on you picture has two parts. The A part which is the speaker connection (to the amplifier) and the CAN bus connection which is part D.
As for updating the them I go to system - change vehicle and select the Skoda. Then switch it off and on.
As for keeping up to date. Woudl love to but first want to get the thing working.
Look forward to your advice.

Also to change the theme properly you need to do a full firmware flash, because the boot screen can only be modified then. To just change the colour, first go to settings -> display and change colour to green. Then, go to Aux-in, touch and hold the middle of the far left of the screen, choose model select, and change colour theme to green then restart the unit. This changes everything including the loading screens, but does not change the boot screen. I will send you the firmware with Skoda boot screen, flash it first and then change theme to green. Unfortunately I don't think new firmware will help with the audio issue if there is faulty hardware - if you don't get audio from the RCA out either you would most likely have to send it back to China.TR 08 Golf GT TDI, Custom Code Phase 1, Milltek Exhaust, Whiteline RSB + ALK, APR Carbonio Intake

Finally got ANS610 installed in Golf MKV over the grand final weekend.
Thanks again DKN for all the help over PM.
The installation is pretty straight forward (have not install the RVC), got sent the wrong version of RVC instead. I did test the ANS610 with another camera, the unit switch to camera input once the camera is detected. I thought it was detecting signal via canbus, but as DKN suggested, I need to have relay inplace to get that sorted. I will try it again once I got the RVC from DKN.
The head unit itself isn't flushed in to the dash like OEM. Its out by 1-2mm. No biggy. The knobs feels abit loose and specifically the Menu button is abit loose and it has this clicking sound, the other buttons are fine. Not sure if it suppose to be that way. Hopefully it wont cause any issues.
FM Radio is ok. Minor interference now and then when driving around Melb CBD. Abit annoying at times with the subtle crackling sound. One thing I notice is that, if I'm in the Navi mode, I press the Radio button, it changes to switches the FM/AM(still in Navi mode) instead of navigating back to Radio mode. Same when I try to navigate from Phone mode to Radio. I have to go back to the menu, then select Radio. Not sure it is a bug or was meant to be that way.
I had the same issue with wai, if the radio lost signal or just started the car up, it was on some other station and band and the preset station highlighted isnt always the one thats playing.
BT, is pretty straight forward. Very very basic function, it would be great if there is a search or even filter the phonebook when you dial from the screen. Scrolling through 100s of entries kind of a pain. I guess I could just dial from the phone itself. Steering wheel phone button is a known issue, thats ok.
I got no ipod, so I have not tested that yet. DVD works fine. Mp3 files from SD card works fine as well, would be great once the id3 tag is fixed.
USB, does not support NTFS. Im sure it supports FAT32 since the microSD works. Will try other format when I get the chance.
Overall, I'm quite happy with the unit. You get what you paid for. Definitely 8/10. Would be really great if they could fixed all the bugs before implementing new features.
Looking forward to the new firmware.
Thanks again to DKN.Last edited by turbo81; 02-10-2012, 02:08 PM.

Regarding the air con info, that is not even existent in the CAN-Bus gateway unless you have the new white MFD, so if you just use a 1.6->2.0 adapter you probably still won't get that - you should get everything else working correctly though.

I don't know what happened, but this ended up in the wrong thread, so I am posting it back here.
I went out today (I have been laid up) and this time was ready for the change of radio station.
Everything was OK when I drove into the underground parking station. There was barely a radio signal, but it was holding onto the station.
I shut the car down and set the alarm as I went for my appointment. When I got back, I turned everything on and started the car. Now, it could not get a satisfactory signal for the radio and so switched to preset position 1. Me being me I have my preset stations in increasing frequency as it makes it easier to search for them and the radio station I was on was the first button on the lower row. As a result, the radio decided to switch the preset to 1, and naturally got nothing as this is a frequency normally used in regional NSW and not in Sydney. I had to wait until the satellite search was completed for the navigation system before it would let me switch to the radio screen and change it to the desired preset.
So, to avoid this happening in future, is there any way that the radio can be set to NOT try and find a radio signal that is stronger or default back to preset 1?
Thanks.

I will ask to either have a user option or have this feature turned off. China is currently on holiday though, October 1st is the national day and they get about 10 (yes a whole 10!) days worth of public holidays for it.
In other news, I've just sent out the latest firmware updates.TR 08 Golf GT TDI, Custom Code Phase 1, Milltek Exhaust, Whiteline RSB + ALK, APR Carbonio Intake
