Anyone know if there is any news on this feature on cars fitted with NAV...I know Mercedes and all local manufacturers have this enabled not to mention pretty much every portable nav unit.

The system has TP (Traffic Program) but there's no compatible provider in Australia. SUNA doesn't work with it. On my android phone I can add two 'Travel' icons (widgets), where I save my work and home address, and at any time I can click on them, and it'll tell me how many minutes to drive to those places from my current position. Of course Google Maps on the phone has the traffic layer as well. Works great if you've got a data plan and car mount.
You could also search YouTube to see how the RNS traffic features work in Europe.Last edited by Ryan_R; 15-05-2012, 10:37 PM.

SUNA is compatible with it on a hardware level but it's encrypted. If VW ever bought the rights to SUNA it could be, theoretically, added via a Map update.MY16 Octavia RS 162 Race Blue Combi
