XCarLink install

Picked up one of these for my Polo GTI (9N3) ... installed it as per instructions - seemed so simple all done in 10 minutes, only to find it doesn't seem to be detected by the head unit in the car - standard 9N3 fitment RCD200. Radio/CD work like normal, just not this interface

What have I missed ? Do I need to pull a battery cable to reset the head unit to detect it ? Any help would be appreciated.

For those that pm'd me some install advice .. thanks but I'd got it right, it was the unit itself.

Spoke to XCarlink who sent me out a new chip (late model RCD200 needs a different chip in it), pulled apart the XCarlink interface, swapped over the chips and it now works.

Talk up for XCarlink in the UK who organised the chip replacement, etc - helpful people seeing I'm half a world away
