  • How to change reverse light from left to right side?

    Hi all,

Not sure if it is possible but can you do any reprogramming to change the reverse light to light up on the right side instead of the left? And then have the rear fog light up on the left instead or the right?

    Thanks!

On some models they can be changed with VAGCOM to have either two fog or two reverse.

You can, however, do much the same thing by simply connecting the two input terminals with a suitable wire.

There's a DIY for that somewhere, but you really shouldn't need one.

You'll then have two lights when in reverse and when you turn the fog on.

Can't comment on the legality, tho', and note that one of them will be red unless you take the filter out of the fog light.

Incidentally, I can't recall ever using the rear fog on mine.

I've used the rear fog on occasion, when there's really bad fog or if the muppet behind me has their high beams on.

You could always turn your fog light on each time you want to reverse? No? Ok never-mind

The fog light is supposed to be on the right of the car. You can be sure it's there for ADR compliance.
