    Hi all,

Can anyone tell me if i need a new can-bus if i want to go from a rcd500 to a rcd310?
I remember seeing something about a battery drain issue.

I'm curious about why you would replace the 500 with a 310?

The 310 show's the artist and song title when using the radio. With the Dension GW100 ipod connector i have i will be able to view the artist and song title on the stereo display.
That's pretty much the only reason i want the rcd310
I got it for next to nothing so it's worth looking into.

I'm pretty sure there is a work-around for the battery drain issue without the need of a new can-bus.
I'll just have to find it

I'll put the rcd500 in my sisters T5 Multivan if it fits. I think it's hard to find the fascia to suit the double din.

Does anyone know what the product code is for the double din fascia required to install the rcd500 into a T5 Multivan?
