    Most likely through your MFD. You might want to post more details such as your at model etc do people can provide specific advice.

      I have the GTI 35

      The ring tone in the telephone (IPhone) is very different to the ring tone of the car.

      The Manual has instructions re ring tone - the instructions are parallel to the instructions for the phone (eg select the ring tone, listen to it, confirm or change etc etc). But there does not appear to be any way of doing it through the car input screen (presume that is the MFD).

      It may be that I simply need to change it directly in the phone - I will try that and see if the ring tone in the car changes

        It's done trough the MFD in the Bluetooth settings once you've connected to a phone. There's only about 5 in there and you can have an individual ring tone for each phone or user as the MFD calls them.

          Nah, the VW bluetooth unit generates the ring tone, it completely ignores the phone's ringtone. Very annoying if you use the iPhone feature of unique ringtones for different callers.
