DAB+ radio anyone????

Does anyone listen to digital (DAB+) radio in the car?
What do you use?

I am currently using a pocket Grundig DAB+ radio, plugged into the aux plug in the glovebox, with my RNS510. It works well, but I would prefer something more permanent rather than a portable plugged in.

There is also portable DAB radio that has FM transmitter which can tune to your unit.

Yes, I have seen that one, made by Pure.
In the past, with ipods, I have not had good success with FM transmitters.....constant interference, regularly had to change frequencies as I drove to different regions......botton line is, I don't like them.

would be good if we could mod the rcd510/rns510 from europe to support dab+... currently most only support dab

We will be releasing a VW DAB+ unit that will integrate into any VW vehicle with steering wheel controls.
The system is designed to be plug and play, all you need to run is the antenna of which we will have a few options
available.

Features are as listed below:
-Menu displayed on the car radio display
-vocal synthesis of menu headings
-interface control via steering wheel controls
-RDS data on OE radio display

My7 understanding of DAB is that it needs multiple antennas to operate correctly in a car. This suggests that any unit would need to be factory fitted or a difficult after-market installation. Am happy to be corrected though !
