SKIPPING BLUETOOTH STREAMING OF AUDIO and GPS ANTENNA

Hi, picked up my new Golf today. Difference between it and my previous car (Maxda3 SP25 luxury auto) like night and day, SO MUCH BETTER!

BUT WITH A DEALER FITTED RNS510 SAT NAV

a) my audio streaming actually only works intermittently, and usually not, rather it shows on screen as skipping through the songs in 2 sec increments, but nothing is audible. OR, sometimes it works fine. Huh? Using an Iphone 4 with IOS5. As a phone it works fine....And

b) I have a butt-ugly little oval shaped disc marked GPS sitting atop the dasbboard on the passenger side near the windscreen.

The dealer says he will get his techos to look at a) ... but can b) be fixed?

And another idiosyncracy today, the Nav screen just flicked to the NIGHT display and will not revert to the DAY display unless I go into the settings and manually change it, but then of course it wont automatically go to NIGHT display in the night! This happened (the system setting itself to NIGHT display) at EXACTLY the same instant that I used the washer/wiper on the windscreen for the first time.

No-one has a thought on the skipping thru the songs issue when bluetooth audio streming? The MDI connection is faultless, but I really want the streaming to be as it should....no setting that anyone can think of?

Hey Roddy, I'm not sure if your radio came with the user manual maybe there might be something that can help. Anyway look in this post and you can download Columbus manual (the same as RNS510).
